Fontan and You

Fontan and You

by ADMYN HoH / Wednesday, 30 September 2020 / Published in eNews

For the first time ever, young people with a Fontan are growing into adulthood with the opportunity to live a full and fulfilled life. But there are still few resources that talk directly to adolescents and young adults in a conversational voice free of scientific language.

Fontan and You was created to talk about the things young people want to know and need to know. It also offers an opportunity to hear from young people across the world who live with a Fontan.

The site offers tips about anxiety, smoking, drugs, sex, exercise, study and adult transition along with a number of practical facts about living with a single ventricle.

If you’re a parent, Fontan and You might help you feel safer about showing your child how to grow into independence. And if you’re a young person, well just enjoy the read! The site was created by Ros Marsden, in memory of her son. Ros can be contacted through the website.

You can find the site at fontanandyou.com
