Aims to improve diagnosis and
treatment of children with heart disease, and ultimately reduce the impact of
this disease on children and their families. A major focus of our research is on
abnormalities of cardiac development (congenital heart disease). This condition
is an important cause of death in infants and young children throughout the
world. Another area of our work relates to heart muscle disease
(cardiomyopathy).
