Hospital Accommodation

Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital

  • Staying overnight with your child
    One parent or carer can stay overnight with their child in his or her room. Most bedrooms in the hospital are in single rooms with an ensuite and built-in bed for a parent or carer. Shared rooms also have an ensuite and a place at the bedside for a parent or carer to stay.
  • Long term accommodation
    Patients and families from outside Brisbane who require accommodation while their child is receiving treatment at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital may be able to stay with charitable accommodation providers such as Ronald McDonald House Charities or the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland. If you require long-term accommodation or have any questions, ask to speak to one of our welfare officers.

Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme

  • Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS)
    The PTSS provides assistance to patients, and in some cases their carers, to enable them to access specialist medical services that are not available locally.
  • Carers Queensland
    Carers Queensland is the peak body representing and advocating on behalf of carers throughout Queensland. We work collaboratively with the Carers Associations in each state and territory and our partners to influence the development of policies and essential services at a state level.
