Fundraise

There are many ways to fundraise for Hearts of Hope Australia. There are several suggestions below but if you have some other ideas, please let us know so we can assist with your proposed fundraiser.

Cadbury chocolate sales

Selling chocolates and similar goods in the workplace is a proven method for raising funds. For example the sale of 16 boxes of Cadbury chocolate frogs will make $320 profit that can be donated to HoH. This fundraiser does require some administration as sales must be kept track of and funds need to be deposited in a timely manner. Please view our Confectionary Sales Guideline for more information.

Casual Dress Days

Organise a day where your work colleges or students at your child’s school where casual clothes in return for a gold coin donation. We are more than happy to provide information to your workplace / school about HoH and why you are conducting the fundraiser and what the donations will be used for.

Community fundraising events

There are community fundraising events such as fun runs held all over Australia. You can participate in these and help us by seeking sponsorship from family, friends and work colleagues and donating the funds to Hearts of Hope Australia.
Please review the events list to find a fundraiser near you.

Create a fundraising page at Everyday Hero

Create a personal fundraising page to collect donations for HoH. This is a great way to support specific programs such as raising funds to purchase care packs for families with hospitalised children.

Host a breakfast, morning / afternoon tea or BBQ

Invite your family friends or work colleagues to an event you host and ask them to donate to HoH or even a particular program. Again, these fundraisers may be used to support specific programs or projects.

Quiz Nights

Quiz night involve a fair bit of work as you may need to arrange publicity, source prizes and find and someone to MC the evening. Having said that they are a great fun and also an excellent way to raise awareness for our cause. There are businesses that do this as a specialty and some of these will do most of the work for the event at a discounted price for charities.

Raffles

We recommend that raffles are conducted in conjunction with other fundraisers such as Quiz Nights as this adds another dimension to such a fundraiser. Most States have different regulations for raising funds through gaming fundraisers and these need to be considered before running a raffle. Please give us plenty of notice before the raffle so that we can check these requirements and provide instruction to ensure your raffle complies with local legislative requirements.
