~ JANUARY 2006 ~

Haydan is now 3 and has another little brother who was born 4/5/05 and his name is Kyle Leonard Olney.  Kyle is now 8 months old and is Heart Healthy. He is gorgeous and bonds great with his double trouble twin brothers Haydan and Jordan. Haydan recently turned 3, it was a very fun day. Haydan also saw his cardiologist Dr Sholler last month, he said Haydan's heart looks great and he is doing very well and they will look at having his stage 3 Norwood late in 2006. Haydan's Oxygen Saturation levels still sit between 75-80%. Jordan, Haydan's twin, who is 1 minute younger then Haydan, also had his heart checked by Dr Sholler due to a very clear murmur. It was found the murmur may always be present, but Jordan is Heart Healthy otherwise. Haydan is very active and playful, especially with Jordan. Haydan has lived a relatively "normal" life. No eating or weight issues, and there has been no need for any physical or speech therapy. Haydan is an extremely sporty, active child. Haydan now attends Child Care once weekly, they say Haydan has great balance, great imagination, is great at sharing and is cheeky and often referred to as the "class clown". Haydan is 100% a water baby!. Even though he just turned 3, he can already swim without floats in our very deep pool, he holds his breath for a VERY long time under the water too. Haydan's favourite things in life are SWIMMING, DINOSOURS, CARS, SPIDERS, BUGS, CHOCOLATE ICE-CREAM, CLIMBING AND BIG SLIDES. Sleeping has never been an issue, he still goes down to sleep very easily for a 2-3 hr day sleep and sleeps 10 hr nights without a peep. His weight is 16.5 kg and has not changed over the last year and he's approximately 100cm tall.

Haydan is now 3 and due to his size is a candidate for Stage 3 surgery, he is 18.3kg and 109cm. On the 28/7/06 Haydan was admitted into Westmead Children's Hospital for an Angiography by Cardiac Catheter. They were happy with what they saw, one thing Dr Sholler mentioned was the Pulmonary Artery was a bit deformed due to Shunt but can be common. Haydan extended his visit to Westmead due to rocky recovery from Anaesthetic, which involved vomiting containing blood, high temperatures and lower than usual Oxygen Saturation. His results have now been sent to Melbourne for them to look at and decide on a date for surgery, which we believe could be end of this year.
